RED STICK CAJUN TURBO
Born 9-10-1993; died 3-19-2007)
Turbo was my first Kemmer dog and the beginning of my love and admiration for this fine breed of dogs. While there is good in all breeds of dogs, I did not find what I was looking for until Turbo came along. I went through a lot of dogs and had some good ones but, to me, none compared to my old Turbo Dog. He was born a game crazy tree dog and died 14 years later in my arms as a dear friend.
Turbo was out of Cajun Nugget(7/8 Gold Nugget) and Thompson's Bell (Old Trouble x Yucantan's Miss Nugget). Turbo's blood, along with his ancestors run strongly through my kennels today. They say that one special dog will come along in your lifetime, Turbo is that dog for me. However, because of Robert
(Turbo at 5 mos old. He was a man child)
Kemmer and the dedicated breeders of the KSBA, I can continue to enjoy Ole Turbo for generations to come through his 'get'! "That is COOL".
I was truly honored and heart stricken for my beloved Turbo’s name to be etched among the other great dogs in the KSBA HALL OF FAME. He surely deserved a lot more than I could give him. Turbo was a true friend, companion, therapist and hunting buddy!
I don’t want to say he was a great dog. I would rather say he was a typical Kemmer Stock Mtn. Cur with all the natural God given ability that Robert Kemmer developed in these dogs. Turbo came into this world a coon and squirrel dog. As a pup his physical ability would not allow him to run and tree coon until he was four months old and he never looked back. He made NKC Nt. Ch. At 13 months old and NKC Gr. Nt. Ch. At 23 months old. He also earned the titles of KSBA Sq. Ch and Turbo was the 1995 Texas St Reserve Sq Ch. This was all accomplished by the age of two years old.
Most importantly, as titles mean nothing to me, was Turbo’s ability to reproduce himself because of the dedication and hard work of Robert Kemmer and other dedicated KSBA breeders with the God given gifts, fortitude, dedication, knowledge and the talent to produce a great breed of cur dogs, the KEMMER STOCK MTN. CUR. I call them the ULTIMATE EXPRESSER OF THE BREED.
Thank you KSBA family!
"GOOD BY OLD FRIEND! I THINK OF YOU DAILY!"
